COMPONENT DESIGN FOR ASSEMBLY
After the final concept presentation, MWDesign will focus on the approved product concept. This will be done primarily through 3D CAD modelling. We will further development the CAD models into precise components incorporating all features from the final concept design. The objective is to develop the design to allow us to create a prototype for testing, before investing in tooling.
Focusing on individual part components, MWDesign will refine the components and design out the cost to enable us to maintain quality while meeting our budget cost. We will begin engineering the parts for the product, focusing on functional aspects of the design.

Classmate by Smooth Sensors is an internet-connected indoor environmental monitor that quietly measures the things that matter most to the health and comfort of student and teachers within a modern learning environment.
This design project was to finish off the development to enable high volume injection moulding, add in a wall mounting system while keeping the original design intent.
Classmate helps to create healthier and more comfortable indoor environments for learning, working, and living by using the power of the Internet of Things, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Big Data.
Classmate provide indoor environmental monitoring as a service. Our low-power wireless sensors quietly measure the things that matter most to health and comfort, and our analytics platform uses this data to inform optimal maintenance and best-way-to-use feedback to occupants.
