COMPONENT DESIGN FOR ASSEMBLY
After the final concept presentation, MWDesign will focus on the approved product concept. This will be done primarily through 3D CAD modelling. We will further development the CAD models into precise components incorporating all features from the final concept design. The objective is to develop the design to allow us to create a prototype for testing, before investing in tooling.
Focusing on individual part components, MWDesign will refine the components and design out the cost to enable us to maintain quality while meeting our budget cost. We will begin engineering the parts for the product, focusing on functional aspects of the design.

Open Circuit Branding

Brand development for a local Hamilton electrical engineering company.
Open Circuit came to MWDesign looking for a brand image for their new electrical engineering company.
We produced a variety of sketches and concepts for the logo, which built upon circuit design and lightning bolts, both visually recognisable elements to the customers eye, to represent the services that Open Circuit provides.
A bold, simple stamp with clever linework that reflects an open circuit, also plays with the O and C shapes of the company name.
Charcoal greys and lightning blue colours create a sophisticated brand that is a fresh step away from traditional yellow and orange electrical company logos. The clean simple typeface reflects the tidy work that Open Circuit provides for their clients.
