COMPONENT DESIGN FOR ASSEMBLY
After the final concept presentation, MWDesign will focus on the approved product concept. This will be done primarily through 3D CAD modelling. We will further development the CAD models into precise components incorporating all features from the final concept design. The objective is to develop the design to allow us to create a prototype for testing, before investing in tooling.
Focusing on individual part components, MWDesign will refine the components and design out the cost to enable us to maintain quality while meeting our budget cost. We will begin engineering the parts for the product, focusing on functional aspects of the design.

VISOR TRUCK STONEGUARDS
Taking advantage of modern manufacturing processes to update function and style of truck stoneguards.
Is there a better approach to designing elegant, functional, custom stoneguards?
Visor had been making stoneguards the same way [as had their competitors] for 20 years, the styling, limited by the manufacturing techniques had become dated and tardy when compared with modern trucks. NZTA Standards had moved on too, with dash cam and lane sensors becoming a standard feature.
A new approach was needed.
MWDesign and Visor developed a series of simple and elegant stoneguards for Isuzu, Hino, MAN, Mercedes and more. They are manufactured with modern production methods streamlining fabrication, delivery, assembly and installation meaning more trucks through production with less time off the road.
